ABOUT US
Bruce and the Boomers love the songs of their Baby Boomer generation, especially ones where the audience can sing along.
The group is Rory Dubin, keyboard extraordinare, Carolyn Dunn, bass and vocals, and Bruce Brunette, guitar and vocals.
We all are experienced entertainers. Bruce, for example, performed at the main stage at the MN
Renaissance Festival as Lord Nose
and the Boogies. He was Lord Nose and had Boogies! You can check out his old web site at
www.onsync.com/lordnose. He has also performed for several years at the Sarasota Folk Festival.
Carolyn has been performing at festivals, clubs, and weddings since 1973. She enjoys singing many genres including rock, folk, jazz, pop and country, and plays electric and standup bass. Starting out playing 60’s folk music and Beatles songs in high school, she played in several rock and country bands in Rochester, NY through the 1980’s. Carolyn moved to Burlington, VT in 1988, and then to Sarasota, FL in 2004 where she found a thriving Folk Music community. She performs at many Florida folk festivals, events, clubs and parties with several bands, and is having fun playing “boomer” songs with Bruce and the Boomers. Her website is www.reverbnation.com/carolyndunn
Rory is an accomplished pianist, having played since he was a youngster. He has played professionally for many years and knows literally thousands of songs. He is also able to sight read and can instantly play a new song like the pro he is. Rory is a commercial property realtor and is also the President of the Venice Board of Realtors.
